These boxes are used through the wall or ceiling and attach the flexduct to. The grill then attaches to the box. These are commonly called boots. Some boots are flanged for new construction or unflanged for retrofit. Some pictures may or may not depict actual size of Register Box. Please see metal tab collars for size needed to insert into Box.
